The landscape is a breakdown of the imagery the artist recalls from his long drives on I-80. Symbols like the mountains, the clouds, the field all fade into the center of the image, leaving the viewer on a path going forwards.

This piece is depicted as if from the edge of a highway, overlooking the lush flora that grows on it's shoulders. Overarching clouds reveal the sun's light just barely penetrating through the surface of the dark clouds just over the horizon. The leaves of the tree and other flora in the forground quiver as wind from an oncoming storm rushes through them.

This 'negative' interpretation highlights the distortions of the background field and defines the space the light inhabits. Inside that space we can see the tremulous action of light, radiating in every direction.

This work is reminicent of the travel to and from Boston Massachusetts. The artist spent much of the year pre-production traveling there for his recovery. This print shows a summary of objects that made up that scenery. The clouds in the background repeat, echoing the trips the artist took and an oasis of evergreens springs up in the middle of a marsh, which is full of grass and cattails.

Here the viewer finds themselves overlooking a mountain through a view in the trees. We can see the trunks and branches of the trees spiraling together like a web. The flora on the forest floor press right up to the viewer, keeping them from the edge of the cliff that falls off just beyond the trees in the foreground.

Drawing on memories of his expereinces at the ocean the artist created this print of the dunes just before the shoreline. Tall beach grass grows over itself and comes to an edge, lining a path that leads to the shore. Just beyond the dune we can see the shore and the ocean who's near still waters are inky compared to the clear sky above.

This image reveals crepuscular rays bearing out from the top of the image and pressing into the ground. As the title suggests the viewer is looking at an image that has been 'stretched' beyond the normal 180 degree field of view. The sky seems to spin, the clouds becoming visually distorted as they stretch with the rest of the piece.
